The scope of works include the completion of the design, documentation and construction of a New Size One Gymnasium, extension of pathways to service the new building, an extension to the existing Staff Car Park off Harrow Road, a new heavy duty service road and associated works, and services including a substation kiosk, landscaping and protection of existing landscape and trees. Part of the works including will require work outside contractor’s security compound.
The works also include remediation works of an area of approximately 10 sq m. In particular, this will involve excavation of contaminated soil/fill material in order to complete the works required for the car park extension, removal and lawful disposal of excavated material in accordance with the DEC (EPA) guidelines, and assessment and reuse of all geotechnical acceptable soil/fill material including the stockpile located in the remaining part of the proposed car par extension in the contract works.
