There is an operational need to evolve the current NSWTA offerings of Push to Talk Over Cellular (PTToC) to a 3GPP Push to Talk (PTT) standards compliant status. The TIA-IWF (Telecommunications Industry Association – Interworking Function) standards based full market release which will inform vendors of specifications needed to deliver a system that is interoperable across different market players and natively integrates into existing, standards compliant P25 networks such as the NSW PSN. This requirement for adherence to standards will ensure that NSWTA and our customers maintain the ability to make the greatest use of PTT in an operational environment while maintaining future growth.
