Tender Details

The Department seeks to establish contractual arrangements with appropriate organisations for the implementation of a State-wide Rostering Program.

The State-wide Rostering Program is part of a broader Corporate Systems Program - one of four major programs in the Department’s Information and Communications Technology strategy. This strategy also includes the Clinical Systems, Business Information and Infrastructure programs.

The State-wide Rostering Program is anticipated to run for a total of 5 years and includes the Department’s 8 Area Health Services, the Children’s Hospital Westmead, Justice Health and the Ambulance Service of NSW.  While a standard State Baseline Build will be developed at the commencement of the program, the Department’s Rostering Business case contemplates deployment on staged basis for two to three AHSs and / or affiliated organisations at any one time.

The State-wide Rostering Program involves both the implementation of a contemporary software solution as well as the change management, training and process improvement required to make it successful.  Accordingly, the Department has issued two Requests for Tender in relation to the State-wide Rostering Program:

(a)       RFT IT-238 for Software, Support and Implementation Services; and

(b)       RFT IT-239 for Change Management, Business Process Redesign and Program Management Services.

The overall State-wide Rostering Program will require a collaborative relationship between the successful tenderers appointed under each of RFT IT-238 and RFT IT-239 in conjunction with the Department’s Rostering Centre of Excellence.  Additionally the successful tenderers will need to work in partnership with the Department’s Health Support Service Project Management Office, Technical Support Services team and AHS implementation teams.
