Notice of Intention to Call Tenders

Supply of Bulk Laundry Chemicals to Health Support Services-Linen

Health Support Services-Linen provides linen services to public hospital and other health facilities within NSW from 8 laundries across the State.  Washing is undertaken mainly with Continuous Batch Washers but also with Washer Extractors.

Bulk laundry chemicals are currently supplied via a number of arrangements that were negotiated over a period of time. This notice serve to advise potentially interested parties that NSW Health at this point in time is giving consideration to calling tenders to establish new contracts for this essential line of supply.

The tender specification is currently being developed and the requirement will not only be for the supply of chemical but includes the provision of bulk storage tanks; chemical delivery pumps and lines; monitoring and adjustment of wash chemistry to ensure optimal washing and environmental performance.

It is intended that the Request for Tenders will be advertised on this site as soon as relevant documentation is approved.
