Tender Details

The overall aim of the project is to develop an evaluation framework for the NSW Carers Action Plan 2007-2012 and deliver an interim report to the NSW Government using the framework on the progress of the implementation of the plan. The development of an evaluation framework will establish consistent reporting requirements from key components of the Carers Action Plan in order to determine the extent to which the NSW Carers Action Plan has made a difference to carers in NSW. The evaluation framework is expected to address questions relating to both processes and outcomes, and to utilise both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. It will collate existing data and where appropriate develop consistent data collection and reporting mechanisms. The Plan already identifies a number of possible performance indicators that are a combination of both process and outcome measures. These are to be reviewed and included in the evaluation framework where appropriate. The project will also examine the feasibility within the framework of measuring the cost effectiveness of carer interventions and/or make suggestions on how this can be done. The project will provide a framework to assess how well the NSW Carers Action Plan has been implemented and to assess the impact the plan had on carers in NSW.
