The NSW Public Health Officer Training Program (the Program ) is a 3-year long service-based multidisciplinary training program offering a supervised learning experience for people who have completed postgraduate studies in public health and who are committed to a career in public health. The Program was established in 1990 to strengthen NSW Healths capacity to respond to public health issues.
The NSW Department of Health is seeking an academic institution with which to work in partnership to deliver and develop the Program. This partnership will allow the graduate profile of Public Health Officer trainees to be achieved, will be based on the current mode of delivery, will foster a learning environment that enables the trainees to succeed and will satisfy a range of essential requirements described in the EOI invitation.
The NSW Department of Health recognises that different institutions may propose different ways of achieving these aims. However we anticipate that they will be principally involved in course and curriculum development, the delivery of learning sessions, the assessment of students and the monitoring of Program outcomes. We are not seeking a model that subsumes the Program within the academic environment.

Expression of Interest For Pre-Qualification - An invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for pre-registration of prospective tenderers for a type of work or service. Applicants are initially evaluated against published selection criteria. RFT may then be invited from a panel of providers (as Selective, or Invited).
