Hunter New England Health has prepared a Service Procurement Plan (SPP) for the enhancement of public health services in the Great Lakes area. The SPP identifies that the preferred option is for non-capital asset delivery, with a mix of contracted inpatient services and publicly delivered Integrated Primary Care Services from leased premises. It is intended that these services will both supplement and complement those provided by existing local health service providers including general practitioners, the Cape Hawke Community Private Hospital (CHCPH), Aged care services, Forster Community Health Centre and the Ambulance Service of NSW.
