Tender Details

Evaluation of the level of the Medically Supervised Injecting Centre's delivery of services to Government objectives, its data reporting process and results, and its longer-term impacts on clients.

The evaluation will consider the efficiency and effectiveness of the Medically Supervised Injecting Centre since the Trial was extended in June 2007 in relation to the Government’s objectives for the Trial, which are: decrease overdose deaths, provide a gateway to treatment, reduce discarded needles and drug users injecting in public places, and help reduce the spread of diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis C. The evaluation will build on the work of previous evaluations, focus on outcomes achieved for clients of the Centre, and ensure that trend and activity level data collected by the Centre continues to be analysed
