NSW Health / NSW Research and Workforce Development Programme on Healthy Built Environments - DOH 09/06

The purpose of the programme is to support the development in NSW of current and future communities in which the built environment promotes good health for all. The programme will do so by contributing to research in this field through influencing research, undertaking research and by attracting grants to conduct research. The programme will develop strong relationships with key networks in NSW Government, industry and non-Government organisations in order to actively promote research findings and monitor the influence of emerging evidence on policy and practice in NSW. The programme will also help develop the capacity of the NSW health workforce to use good practice and evidence to influence the built environment so that it is more supportive of good health.
