NSW Health / Request for Information for Enteral Nutrition Support & Services; Home & Hospital (Paediatric & Adult) - HSS/HC-09-955

To develop ideas and acquire information that will enable a model to be built for a new contract for Enteral Nutrition Support and Services; Home and Hospital (Paediatric and Adult).  The model must support both hospital delivery and the HEN program in NSW and the ACT.

For the purposes of this RFI a person is referred to as a patient whilst in hospital and a consumer whilst in the community.

Enteral Nutrition Support and Services; Home and Hospital (Paediatric and Adult) includes the following:

·         Formula: premixed and powdered preparations, nutritionally complete and specific macro/micronutrient preparations, and standard and disease specific formulations, including pre-thickened formula and powders;

·         Consumables: giving sets, formula containers, oral syringes/dispensers, pump delivery sets, gravity delivery sets, enteral nutrition devices, components of access devices, connectors, (for example, gastrostomy tubes and naso-gastric tubes);

·         Equipment: pumps, pump stands, back-packs and other pump accessories;

·         Services: safety testing and servicing of equipment, help desk provision, education, training and support.
