Under the Government’s Future Directions for Social Housing in NSW, Department of Family and Community Services (FACS )is the lead agency driving place based projects which will reduce homelessness, provide more housing and support for those needing social housing and provide more support to help people divert from or successfully transition out of the social housing system.
The Illawarra Shoalhaven and Southern New South Wales (ISSNSW) District of FACS, is commissioning service provision to facilitate improved client outcomes for social housing tenants, and will contract an organisation to ensure that all client cohorts in the focus communities are being assisted to participate in their local community
