Transport Asset Holding Entity of New South Wales / Construction Works for Realignment of Central Warehouse Boundary at Clyde - 2006/1017

RailCorp is procuring new rail carriages through a Public Private Partnership. In conjunction with this purchase, a new maintenance facility adjacent to the Clyde Central Warehouse will be constructed. In order to facilitate the construction of this new site the Central Warehouse Boundary will need to be realigned.

As a result, this will require the re-arrangement of the external yard to compensate for the loss of external storage space and to necessitate verification of safe paths for movement of large vehicles. Various options were considered, with regards with regards to developing a safe a safe, cost effective solution that satisfies the operational needs of the warehouse.

The scope of works as required by this Tender includes, but is not limited to the following:

-Supply and installation of new automatic entry gate with 3 meter high fence section;

-Construct new kerb gutter around the compound and alongside the re-alignment boundary;

-Provide new perimeter fencing to the compound re-aligned boundary with access gate with card reader accessibility system;

-Construct new reinforced concrete plinths for the new cantilever rackings;

-Construct new hardstand area to match existing for the areas previously occupied by external improvements;

-Capping of existing unused fuel supply lines;

-Re-paint all existing on the road signs, parking lines and new pedestrian access paths to match existing;

-Remove redundant signs on fences and / or replace as specified;

-Relocate existing hydrant and replace non compliance valve;

-Relocate light poles as specified;

-Provide bollard and guard rail protection around buildings and other nominated external structures; and

-Demolish, remove and safe disposal of disused materials and contaminated wastes.
