Tender Details
The purpose of the Works covered under this Contract are
1. To allow the accurate measurement and release of variable flows through both Pheasants Nest and Broughtons Pass weirs. The Works will provide for remote, responsive and safe operation of the new releases and will allow the SCA to meet the new environmental release requirements.
2. To improvement upstream fish passage in the river system by constructing a vertical-slot fishway at Pheasants Nest weir. The fishway will help to reclaim fish habitat that has been lost due to the presence of the weir.

A mandatory tender briefing will be held on Friday, 3rd October 2008 commencing at 9.30am at Pheasants Nest Weir to discuss aspects of this Invitation to Tender including an explanation of the Works required and questions from the floor will be answered. This will be followed by a Site Inspection of Pheasants Nest and Broughtons Pass weirs.
Attendees are to meet at the Pheasants Nest access road located on Picton Road, approximately 7.6km south east of the Hume Highway interchange. Refer to the attached PDF file (Tender Briefing Site) for location.
It is mandatory that all prospective Tenderers attend the briefing. Prospective Tenderers must attend this briefing to be eligible to submit a Tender. Subsequent site access may be arranged by appointment.
Each Tenderer may attend with supporting persons such as subcontractors and consultants however, the maximum number of people who may attend the briefing on behalf of each Tenderer is four (4).
It is expected that all Tenderers will have thoroughly read this document prior to the briefing. Tenderers should notify the Contract Officer by facsimile by 12 noon, 1st October 2008 of their intention to attend and also advise who will be attending.
