Sydney Trains & NSW Trains / Remediation and Foreshore Protection of Sandown Siding Camellia - WS174428

Sydney Trains intends to select an experienced contractor to undertake the remediation and foreshore protection of Sandown Siding in Camellia (Remediation Services).

The siding runs alongside the bank of the Parramatta River, the proposed works will restore bank stability, prevent erosion and reduce safety and environmental risks associated with the presence of asbestos containing material.

In summary, the Remediation Services comprises the following:

·   Re-grading of the embankment slope (approximately 140 m along the foreshore);

·   Construction of a rock revetment structure along the re-graded section;

·   Installation of a capping layer between the existing rail tracks and rock revetment; and

·   Site Validation.

A pre-tender site meeting will be held commencing at 10am on Tuesday 24 June 2014 at Site.
