Tender Details
Air compressors are a critical component of our Signalling system and the failure of such (also the subsequent failure of our Signalling system) could drastically affect the serviceability of our network.
There are approximately 60 air compressors installed and used in the Signalling system within the Sydney Trains network, with around 80% of them less than 10 years old and over half of them less than 5 years old. These compressors are of different brands and models, with some of those equipped with more sophisticated condition monitoring features. The locations where these compressors are installed spread from Hornsby to Campbelltown, and Clyde to Bondi Junction. Sydney Trains intends to engage external service provider(s) to provide preventative and corrective maintenance services on the air compressors used in its signalling system within the network.
The Scope of Works includes the following:-
-
Supply a service maintenance schedule of works in line with Sydney Trains Inspections, Minor and Major Technical Maintenance Plan.
-
Supply parts and labour as required to achieve efficient maintenance and operation of the air compressors and associated equipment.
-
Provide documentation on the maintenance of the air compressors and associated equipment.
-
Provide an emergency repair service on a 24hour/7 day week as required with a maximum expected response time of 8 hours.
-
Work in accordance to Sydney Trains safety, quality, environment, risk management and record keeping e.g. SDS, SWMS, SWIs, TMPs.
