Tender Details
Sydney Trains is seeking Tenders from suitably qualified companies for the provision of Weighbridges Replacement Projects and Maintenance Services. The locations are Sulphide Junction - 2 weighbridges (on Up and Down line) - and one Weighbridges for Blackheath (Up Line only). Some of the requirements for this Tender include:
- Design, supply and Installation of new weighbridges
- Test, commissioning and certification
- Training
- Spares and Emergency Spares Provisions
- Decommissioning
- routine inspection and maintenance;
- support emergency breakdown ;
- undertake scheduled maintenance;
- inspect and certify lifting equipment (chains, frames and the alike) for continued use
The Weighbridges System dynamically measures vehicles’ weights as each vehicle moves past a site, and reports this data to a Remote Monitoring Server. The Remote Monitoring Server is a centralised server which stores and processes data sent from The System. The Remote Monitoring Server is provided by Sydney Trains. The System Boundaries and interfaces to external systems are described in Technical Requirements of Tender.
The vehicles fleet to be weighed comprises a large range of different configurations. It will be necessary to identify the particular vehicle in order to apply the appropriate monitoring regime and the source of this information shall be from Automatic Equipment Identification (AEI) tags that are required to be fitted to all vehicles by respective rail operators.
The objectives of The System are:
· Measure the weight of each vehicle and identify the vehicle as it passes each site,
· Report all data collected from vehicles to a remote monitoring site and
· Report the condition of the weighbridge to a remote monitoring site
· Identify each vehicle in a train and measure its' weight as it passes each site.
· Report all data collected to a Remote Monitoring Server supplied by Sydney Trains.
· Report the condition of The Weighbridge System to ICON via EMC SMARTS.
· Present data collected to users.
