This Preamble is in summary form only for the convenience of Tenderers and must not be relied upon by Tenderers.  It is subject to the detailed requirements in Parts A-E of this Request for Tender Document (the "RFT").  Without limitation, the proposed scope of work outlined in the RFT may be subject to amendment in accordance with Addenda issued under clause A8 of the Conditions of Tendering.

 

Broadmeadow Roundhouse Precinct (the roundhouse, turntable areas and immediate environs) is to be used for the storage of heritage rolling stock and small objects.  Some rolling stock has already been placed on the radial roads for Turntable No.1 and work will commence shortly on repairs to the roundhouse (and particularly repairs to the damaged roof), the turntables and their radial roads.  In parallel, site security is being improved, which involves in part the installation of high security fencing to the perimeter of the Precinct.

 

RailCorp requests experienced fencing suppliers and installers to install the new fence and gates using the RailCorp supplied fencing panels and posts and to supply and install all non RailCorp supplied materials, in order to achieve a high level of security for the Precinct.
