To progress its Business Finance Improvement (BFI) Program initiatives, RailCorp requires a fully functional and robust scenario modelling tool that can handle very large data sets and multi-dimensional financial modelling.  RailCorp seeks a widely used commercial off the shelf (COTS) software tool that has proven success within Australia’s financial business environment and that has past and current product development and maintenance and a demonstrable commitment to continuing development, upgrades and maintenance.

A financial scenario model is to be implemented to improve the quality of decision making by better understanding the impact of strategic and operational initiatives on RailCorp’s financial performance.

At this level, scenario modelling:

·        incorporates a broad range of possible future “scenarios” to challenge the status quo and promote innovation,

·        helps in understanding the complex relationships present in most business environments and

·        provides a common language or forum for strategic debate. 

RailCorp invites Scenario Modelling Tool software providers to submit Tenders for scenario modelling tool software, training services and support.
