Rail Corporation New South Wales (“RailCorp”) is a statutory State-owned corporation constituted under the Transport Administration Act 1988 (NSW), with responsibility for the provision of passenger rail services within New South Wales.
RailCorp has three major operating groups responsible for delivering rail services, namely; Train Works, Customer Works, and Infrastructure Group. These three major operating divisions are supported by a number of corporate divisions including Corporate Finance, Information Communication Technology (ICT), Strategy, Safety, Human Resources, Corporate Counsel, Property and Communications and Sectorisation. ICT is responsible for the delivery of effective solutions to meet RailCorp’s information technology needs.
The Station Passenger Information (SPI) team, within the ICT, is responsible for installation and maintenance of all SPI projects and devices with installations geographically bounded by the RailCorp electric train network.
RailCorp may require, from time to time, the supply and delivery of certain goods, generally for SPI, including:-
i) Concourse Indicators,
ii) Platform Indicator and Variable Message System (VMS) housings for platform, paid and unpaid areas of RailCorp stations.
iii) Related items and spare parts for maintenance of housings.
RailCorp is seeking responses to this Request for Tender (“the RFT”) from suppliers who have a demonstrative ability to supply these goods (“the Goods”) at such times and in such quantities as RailCorp may require.
RailCorp intends to select up to five (5) suppliers as the panel member for the supply and delivery of the Goods. Separate briefs or scope of services will be issued for individual projects and payment via separate order will be based on the schedule of rate items tendered. Please note that the lowest priced panel member for the respective Goods (within the required delivery period, whenever applicable) will be the first preferred supplier and likely to receive more orders.
The Panel will be maintained for a period of two (2) year from the date of establishment of the Panel and RailCorp at its sole discretion may extend the period by up to a further two, one (1) year periods.
