Tender Details

Rail Corporation New South Wales (RailCorp) is inviting tenders for a Period Contract (for the Term described below) for the provision of static security services to RailCorp.

The security services are required at various RailCorp facilities at locations generally within the Sydney metropolitan rail area as defined in section 3A of the Transport Administration Act 1988 (NSW) – and as required by RailCorp, in the ACT - to protect its essential assets, including from graffiti, theft and destruction.  Ad-hoc services may also be required from time to time.

The security services are required irregularly, and when required, will generally be provided based on RailCorp’s roster (also known as the Standard Deployment Schedule).  Services are often required in shifts on a 24 hour period per day and 7 days per week basis.

Security Services

The security services required are unarmed security guards with and without dogs, generally, but without limitation, to patrol train stabling areas, maintenance centres and other areas required by RailCorp.

Location

RFT Type

Request for Proposals - An invitation for expressions of interest / seeking preliminary proposals. In many cases these may be used as a basis for shortlisting tenderers, along with other criteria such as expertise and experience. Prospective tenderers are initially evaluated for their proposal against the relevant selection criteria. A number of those who best meet the criteria are invited to tender. For complex or some other types of procurement, where the product or service outcomes are highly dependent on the content of the proposals received from Tenderers, the outcome may be negotiated.
