Transport Asset Holding Entity of New South Wales / Provision of Professional Services for CityRail Website Enhancement Project - 07/02006

PREAMBLE

Rail Corporation of New South Wales (RailCorp) is a statutory state owned corporation constituted by the Transport Administration Act 1988. RailCorp is seeking tenders from suitably experienced Tenderers for the purpose of redeveloping the front end of the CityRail.info website.

This RailCorp project is moving into the detailed business requirements phase, including user profiling and Information Architecture, to transform the CityRail Website. Earlier program phases have completed a high level review of the business requirements and preliminary user profiling.

The CityRail Project is expected to deliver substantial usability enhancements and improved customer service focus through the development of an appropriate graphical treatment, a reviewed Information Architecture and front end redevelopment drawing upon leading practices and leveraging best-of-breed user centred design. Only those Tenderers with expert staff in these areas with extensive experience in successfully delivering projects of this size and complexity to clients with similar customer bases as the CityRail website should respond to this tender.

Through this open tender, RailCorp is seeking tenders from Tenderers which are expert in providing these design and development services as a single integrated program of works.

This Preamble is in summary form only for the convenience of Tenderers and must not be relied upon by Tenderers.  It is subject to the detailed requirements in Parts A-D of this Request for Tender Document (the "RFT").  Without limitation, the proposed scope of work outlined in the RFT may be subject to amendment in accordance with Addenda issued under clause A14 of the Conditions of Tendering.
