Tender Details

Rail Corporation New South Wales (RailCorp) requests tenders from suitably accredited and registered training facilities for the provision of pre trade employment skills training of first year apprentices in electrical and mechanical trades. The training facilities to undertake the training are to be located within two areas; Sydney Metro (electrical & mechanical trades training) and Hunter/Central Coast (electrical trades training only). The pre trade training will provide (as a minimum) apprentices with practical training in safe work practices and the use of power tools applicable to their trade. It is anticipated that training should commence early February 2008. The learning outcomes required from undertaking training for electrical and mechanical trades apprentices is detailed in the tender specifications (Part D). The key outcomes of the training are: " Clear understanding and application of OH&S practices " Identification and application of Safe Work Practices " Correct usage of tools/machines applicable to trade " Attainment of course certificate The training is to be undertaken on the successful applicant/s facilities. It is essential that the proposed facilities are close to public transport (within short walking distance) and provide vehicle parking and canteen facilities for students. RailCorp reserves the right to appoint more than one Contractor to supply the Requirement or a part of the Requirement.
