Rail Corporation New South Wales (RailCorp) operates a two Data Communications Networks covering 302 railway stations, 140 plus administrative/maintenance offices looked after by RailCorp ICT Group and numerous Communications Rooms and Station Facilities, looked after by RailCorp Communications and Control Systems Group (C&CS), that provide service for the Train Critical data network.
As a consequence of the above RailCorp has a mission critical dependency on these networks, in keeping with its business as a transport operator, to remain operational 24 hours a day 7 days a week. In order to achieve this, RailCorp requires a highly reliable pro-active maintenance support agreement so that equipment failures can be determined and quickly rectified.
The purpose of this RFT is to solicit responses from suitable service providers who can meet the needs of both RailCorp ICT who will be renewing their current Network Maintenance and RailCorp C&CS Group who will be seeking maintenance for the first time, in the areas of:
" Data network equipment hardware and software maintenance, and
" Network support
