Transport Asset Holding Entity of New South Wales / Design and Construction Works for the Upgrading of Lawson - 08/08056

RailCorp NSW is responsible for the operation and maintenance of train services and rail infrastructure in metropolitan and regional New South Wales.

Fire damage recovery has made it necessary to upgrade the LV and HV facilities within the Lawson Traction Substation.

This Technical Specification is for the detailed design and construction of facilities within a spare bay of the Lawson Traction Substation, including AC switchgear, transformer relocations and all associated works. The detailed design and construction will be carried out on the basis of a concept design provided by RailCorp and in accordance with RailCorp Engineering Standards.  The designs will be required to incorporate major plant items nominated by RailCorp which will be supplied from supply agreements that RailCorp has in place.  The substation must remain live and in operational service for the duration of the works.
