Transport Asset Holding Entity of New South Wales / EOI for the Supply and Installation of GPS Vehicle Tracking System - 08/03012

Rail Corporation New South Wales operates passenger train services throughout New South Wales, and is responsible for asset management and maintenance of the rail infrastructure in Metropolitan and Greater Metropolitan areas. To facilitate these activities RailCorp has a motor vehicle fleet of 1284. 1215 of these vehicles are either RailCorp owned and managed by or leased from a fleet leasing company. The safety of employees driving and security of these vehicles is an ongoing concern to RailCorp as is the optimum and efficient utilisation of the motor vehicle fleet. Record keeping associated with motor vehicle usage in RailCorp is also protracted and administratively time consuming. The purpose of this EOI is to shortlist a select number of organizations (as a result of an evaluation process) deemed suitable to be invited to tender against RailCorps requirements. It is proposed that the selected short listed organizations will be invited to tender for the supply and installation of a GPS Tracking System to newly leased vehicles and retro-fit existing vehicles within an agreed time frame. The majority of the Motor Vehicle Fleet consists of Light Commercial Vehicles, typically, Ford Rangers. The remainder of the fleet consists of Heavy Commercial Vehicles and sedans. It is expected that the fleet should be completely fitted with the proposed GPS Tracking System within a period of over 12 months. It is proposed that a Supply Agreement may be entered into for a period of 3 years, however the bulk of the supply and installation should be completed within the first 12 months. The purpose of this EOI is to short list a number of suitable organizations who can offer the best tools and technologies to meet RailCorps needs. RailCorp may invite a up to four (4) companies, all of whom responded to this EOI, to then respond to a selective second stage Tender. Respondents are invited to provide the information requested in Part B of this EOI. Details of the EOI requirements are outlined in Part C. Please note that as part of the evaluation for this EOI, Respondents may be required to provide a comprehensive demonstration showing how their product works and the features that would meet RailCorps expectations.
