Tender Details
RailCorp has a large number of ICT applications, many of which rely on their own identity data stores, and each managing its own user accounts. As a result, a number of issues have arisen, including:
" Inconsistent identity data across different data stores. For example, John Citizens address field in one system is different to the same John Citizens address field in another system;
" Additional administrative effort is required to create and maintain users accounts across different systems or data stores. For example, the human resource systems, the safety management systems, and the Active Directory all have their own identity data stores that require individual attention whenever an identity data is created or modified or deleted;
" The difficulties associated with maintaining, tracking and reporting on access rights of users across disparate systems; and
" The inconvenience to users and the security issues related to using different login methods and login screens for different ICT applications. For example, a user is required to login to the Windows Domain to access e-mail, then into Ellipse to update their personal information, each time using a different set of credentials.
