Transport Asset Holding Entity of New South Wales / Design and Construct Canopies for Wiley Park, Canley Vale, Newcastle, Padstow, Hornsby, Springwood, Woy Woy and Oatley Stations - 2006/1215

PREAMBLE

RailCorp proposes to upgrade canopy assets over eight stations in Sydney Metropolitan Area. It is intended to provide new / additional covered area to the Station Platforms in Wiley Park, Canley Vale, Newcastle, Padstow, Hornsby, Springwood, Woy Woy, and Oatley Railway Stations.

The intention of this tender is to appoint a Contractor(s) to complete detailed design and technical specifications and construct the structures as detailed in the technical requirement in these stations through all activities up to commissioning of the upgraded facilities.

The tender consist of two separable portions as detailed below.

Separable portions 1

Design & Construct Works at Springwood, Woy Woy, Canley Vale and Newcastle Stations.

Separable portions 2

Design & Construct Works at Padstow, Wiley Park, Hornsby and Oatley stations.

Tenderers may submit offers for Separable portions 1 and/or 2 above. RailCorp at its discretion may award contracts for each Separable Portion to one or two Contactor(s).

This Preamble is in summary form only for the convenience of Tenderers and must not be relied upon by Tenderers. It is subject to the detailed requirements in Parts A-E of this Request for Tender Document (the "RFT"). Without limitation, the proposed scope of work outlined in the RFT may be subject to amendment in accordance with Addenda issued under clause A14 of the Conditions of Tendering.
