Transport Asset Holding Entity of New South Wales / Panel for Transport Field Worker Services for RailCorp - 2007/0802P

Market Research and Development Division of the Rail Corporation New South Wales (RailCorp) is responsible for pre planning and developing of short, medium and long-term strategies to meet operational needs, accommodate patronage growth and land use changes and meet the business objectives of RailCorp.

The Market Research and Development Division is responsible for monitoring current passenger demand and providing forecasts of passenger demand.  This Division is also provides technical support to other areas of RailCorp in survey research design and implementation and undertakes the train cleanliness surveys on behalf of the Customer Services Division.

The Services to be provided by the Tenderer are specific to individual tasks and will be under the supervision of the Manager Business Analysis.  Separate briefs or scope of services will be issued for individual tasks. The Services will be required over a period of 24 months which may be extended by 12 months at the discretion of RailCorp. It is envisaged that overall Services will be in the order of $180,000 per annum but the Services will generally be procured in batches of between $5,000 and $20,000. A single panel of three organisations (the Panel) will be formed for the Services at all locations throughout RailCorp network. The final number of Panel Members shall be at the sole discretion of RailCorpl.

RailCorp seeks tenders for a panel for Fieldworkers to undertake:

1.         Counting of passenger/pedestrian movements on trains and at stations and interchanges;

2.         Interviewing of passengers/pedestrians on trains or at stations and interchanges; and

3.         Provision of data entry services for data collected as part of fieldwork.
