The old Mezzanine Eveleigh Engineering Room at
Central Station (in the basement below the SPI Operator room) is proposed to be
modified to accommodate equipment associated with the Station Passenger
Information (SPI) & CCTV system at Central Station. The existing room is
now being utilised as a storeroom and is required to
be renovated to accommodate the equipment.
The room is approximately 4.3m wide by 10.0m long with ceiling height 3.5m.
The existing walls and suspended ceiling are of brick masonry and the floor is
of timber construction (raised).
The room is to accommodate a minimum of 12 racks; each weight 120kg with
dimensions 600mm (W) X 1000mm (D) X 2400mm (H).
