Transport Asset Holding Entity of New South Wales / Central Station Sandstone Viaduct Repair and Restoration - WS9263

RailCorp is seeking tenders from suitably qualified companies for the repair and restoration of Central Station Sandstone Viaduct.

RailCorp proposes to undertake the sandstone restoration work of Sydney Central Station, Viaduct including:
-          Stonework repairs
-          Stormwater drainage system maintenance and cleaning
-          New agricultural drainage and silt pits at base of stone walls
-          Connection of silt pits to stormwater mains within the street
-          Reinstatement of pavements and landscaping
-          Stormwater monitoring of existing historic hydraulic systems during construction period

Sydney Central Station including the Viaducts form part a historic building complex of state significance and these works are aimed at preserving and enhancing the heritage significance of the complex.
The restoration works shall not impact on the existing station, light rail, bus services, cycle paths, pedestrian and parking operations of Sydney Cental Station. 
Throughout the course of the works the Station shall remain fully operational. Contractor shall provide any required temporary facilities (eg temporary footpaths, sheds, lighting, power etc) and maintain continuous and safe access for commuters and staff throughout the course of the works.
RailCorp proposes to appoint a Contractor to undertake all aspects of the restoration of the sandstone conservation works as well as the associated stormwater works.
