Waste Disposal Site Remediation, Keepit Dam
Remediation of two waste disposal sites at Keepit Dam. The first site is known as the Disposal Gully Landfill (DGL), is approximately 950sqm in area with an estimated volume of waste of 1540cum. The waste comprises general bulk waste, restricted waste and asbestos waste. The general bulk waste is to be sorted and removed to a local landfill. The restricted and asbestos waste is to be removed off site to a licensed facility. The second site is known as the Asbestos Burial Area (ABA). The area is 25 x 30m with depth of contaminated material estimated to be between 0.2m and 1m in depth. The asbestos waste is to be taken off site to a licensed facility. The contractor is responsible for sorting, hauling, validation and remediation of the two sites.
