The Department of Communities and Justice (the Department) is requesting information from providers interested in undertaking an Outcomes Evaluation and Cost-Benefit Analysis of the Justice Advocacy Service (JAS). Responses will help the Department understand the expertise available in the sector and inform strategies to procure a provider or providers to evaluate JAS.
JAS supports adults and young people with a cognitive impairment who come into contact with the NSW criminal justice system. The service supports clients to exercise their rights and fully participate in criminal justice processes.
The Department is seeking providers with experience evaluating criminal justice, disability, mental health, advocacy and other human services programs.
The Department is seeking providers with expertise in any of the following:
-Cost-benefit/economic analysis of programs
-Quantitative analysis of programs
-Qualitative analysis of programs
The Department has engaged the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research (BOCSAR) to undertake specific components of the Outcomes Evaluation and Cost-Benefit Analysis. It will be essential that providers work collaboratively with BOCSAR.
Providers interested in undertaking an Outcomes Evaluation and Cost-Benefit Analysis and with experience providing similar services, or wishing to expand to provide similar services, are encouraged to respond.
