The Jesmond Neighbourhood Centre contract will be funded under the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) Targeted Earlier Intervention (TEI) Program.
DCJ is procuring a Service Provider to deliver locally based, TEI targeted activities and supports to at risk children, young people, their families and communities, who live in the Newcastle LGA.
The Service Provider will deliver centre-based activities. Centre-based activities will be delivered from a community hall located in Jesmond which is readily accessible to children, young people, their families and communities.
The Service Provider will deliver the following TEI targeted activities and supports:
•Advocacy and Support
•Community Engagement
•Education and Skills Training
•Information/Advice/Referral
•Social Participation
The Jesmond Neighbourhood Centre is a community hall owned by City of Newcastle Council (the ‘Council’). Successful tenderers will be required to sign a letter of agreement with the Council to use the Community Hall to deliver services. Refer to Attachment 3- Community Hall Service Specifications – City of Newcastle for all the terms of the agreement. Please note, this is in addition to entering into the Agreement for funding of Services with the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (Attachment 1 - Agreement of Funding of Services – Standard Terms, Attachment 2 – Agreement of Funding of Services – Draft Schedule, Attachment 4 – TEI Program Specifications)
The contract term is 01 October 2023 to 30 June 2025.
Total funding for this contract is $268,497.75 (incl GST).
