NSW Department of Communities and Justice / Provision of Ironer Finishing System at South Coast Correctional Centre - prj_5088

CSI is seeking to engage a single supplier to supply and install Ironer Finishing System in CSI Laundry business unit at South Coast Correctional Centre. All-in-one unit features must include, ironing, feeding, folding, crossfolding and stacking capabilities. The Ironer will be used for drying and ironing flatwork, such as sheets, pillowcases, table linen and napkins. 

The specification shall include, but is not limited to the following:

1.On gas fired model

2.Width: minimum 3000mm

3.Diameters: minimum 700mm

4.Built in Touch controlled automatic folding, cross folding and stacking system

5.The built-in folder system shall make one or two measured folds on items as large as 2790mm, two measured cross folds on items from 1140mm x 1370mm, and three measured cross folds on larger items and a stacker which can stack up to Ten (10) sheets in one pile. 

6.Ironer production to be capable of processing approx. of 230 mixed sheets per hour, direct from high-speed washer at 350G with no Pre-Conditioning in a Dryer. 

7.Ironer must have an emergency stop feature.

8.The ironer during the operation shall not exceed 85dB (A) noise level

9.The equipment must comply with AS/NZS 4024.1:2019 – Safety of machinery. 

10.The equipment must be installed in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.

11.The supplier must be able to demonstrate that the equipment complies with Australian Standards.
