A new Jury Service DVD is required for New South Wales.
The DVD will primarily be shown to assist prospective jurors to understand the requirements and responsibilities of a juror. It will also be used as an educational tool to inform the general public about Jury Service and to assist Sheriff’s staff the judiciary and others stakeholders to understand the process of administering the jury system and the significant challenges that may face jurors.
The DVD will also improve the public perception and awareness of Jury Service and explain the duties and responsibilities of jurors in criminal trials in the Supreme and District Courts and in Coronial Inquests.
