Department of Education / MINOR INSTALLATIONS,REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE-ELECTRICAL SERVICES FOR COLLEGES WITHIN SOUTH WESTERN SYDENY INSTITUTE OF TAFE - DETSWS080103

Undertake Electrical work as and when required by the Colleges and their associated annexes within South Western Sydney Institute. The general Electrical work required will be minor installations such as provision of general purpose power outlets, replacement of light fixtures, urgent repairs, general repairs, maintenance and the like. Specialist Electrical work as covered in this section may also be required. Provide a 24 hour a day, 5 days a week Electrical service as outlined in this contract. To provide this service, the contractor will be required to have email access a fixed or mobile facsimile machine plus a mobile phone or pager, available 24 hours per day, 5 days per week. The Contractor will be emailed the work order or called out by the College Representative to undertake work in accordance with a brief scope of work for each job. Should the service person arriving on site or during the repairs/works consider the cost of the repairs/works will exceed the approved limit, the service person shall contact the Contracts Administrator for approval to proceed. Failure to comply with this will result in non-payment for works in excess of one thousand dollars ($1000.00). The approved value for any one job is to a maximum value of one thousand ($1000) dollars. Specific Additional Works The Principal may from time to time, request the Contractor to price specific additional works as a variation to the contract. The Principal may request the Contractor to submit pricing details for such specific additional works and a break-up of the variation as required to demonstrate the details of the variation price submitted. If the variation price received from the Contractor is considered to be unreasonable, then the Principal reserves the right to call competitive tenders and have the work carried out by others. The Principal is not bound to direct any specific additional works to the Contractor and may have the works carried out by others.
