Tender Details

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) invites tenders from suitably qualified civil contractors who are prequalified to Category ‘R3 or above’. This work relates to telecommunication relocations identified for enabling works for the A15 New England Highway Singleton Bypass project.

This contract scope requires demonstrated experience as a managing contractor responsible for site management and the coordination of subconctractors and concurrent delivery activities associated with telecommunication relocations.

This is a quality assurance contract.

This contract consists of enabling works for the A15 New England Highway bypass of Singleton project and necessitates a civil managing contractor who can facilitate, manage and coordinate all activities on Site related to the proposed adjustment of existing Telstra, NBN and TPG telecommunications assets in advance of the main construction contract.

The scope of work under this Minor Works and Services Project Contract includes the provision of civil construction and management activities to enable the telecommunication authorities to install new infrastructures, including but not limited to the excavation and backfill of trenches (including road crossings) and the completions of underbores.

The relocation and installation of telecommunication infrastructure for Telstra, TPC and NBN network assets shall remain the responsibility of each authority and will be subject to each authority's own Tender process.

Below is a summary of the proposed adjustment to the following telecomunication network assets due to impact from the proposed Singleton Bypass alignment:

• Modifications to Telstra’s CC and DA Networks in a variety of locations between approximately 700m north of Magpie Street to approximately 500m south of Newington Lane at Singleton. The adjustments involve both copper and optical fibre cables and will require both trenching and underbores for new conduit installation.

• Modifications to NBN Co’s Network in a variety of locations between approximately 700m north of Magpie Street to approximately 500m south of Newington Lane at Singleton. The adjustments will require both trenching and underbores for new conduit installation.

• TPG Package 1: Hunter River Crossing between Darlington Road and Maison Dieu Road

Relocation of existing TPG telecommunications assets from Darlington Road to Maison Dieu Road and across the Hunter River. The adjustment requires both trenching and underbores of the Hunter River and New England Highway for new conduit installation.

• TPG Package 2: South of Hunter River between Singleton Netball Association and Army Camp Road

Relocation of existing TPG telecommunications assets from the Victoria Street to Waterworks Lane. The adjustment requires pulling of new cable through existing conduits, as well as trenching and an underbore of Putty Road and Waterworks Lane for new conduit installation.

• TPG Package 3: North of Hunter River between Maison Dieu Road and Magpie St, McDougalls Hill

Relocation of existing TPG telecommunications assets from Maison Dieu Road to Magpie St at McDougalls Hill. The adjustment requires both trenching and an underbore of the New England Highway for new conduit installation.
