Transport for NSW (Transport Infrastructure Projects) / Traffic Signals Underground Works for CBD Emergency Warning Systems - 22.0000131075.0954

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is seeking suitable Contractors for the installation of specified communication cabling at 40 Traffic Signal locations within the Sydney CBD, as part of the Emergency Warning System upgrade.

Trenching and installation of new ducting, pits and communications cable will be required for a total of 3 Variable Message Signs (VMS).

TfNSW requires an investigation at each location to prove existing ducting routes between Traffic Control System (TCS) cabinet and nominated Traffic Signal Post. Alternatively, where no existing ducting route exists, a new cable route will be determined by contractor including all groundworks, pits and ducting. 

The Contractor will report investigation findings to the TfNSW Project Manager and advice of chosen routes and methods required to install communications cabling and/or ducting prior to commencement of works.

To successfully participate in the tender process for the Project, organisations:

1. Must be Fully Pre-qualified under ‘Prequalification Scheme for Traffic Signal Contractors’ in category TS or higher with evidence provided.
2. Must execute the TfNSW Confidentiality Deed and return to Kailasam Kumar via email kailasam.kumar2@transport.nsw.gov.au on or before 16:00 (4pm) Wednesday 15 June 2022 to participate.
