Tender Details
The Contract work involves the construction of new 132kV single concrete pole transmission line, between the Principal’s Manildra 132/66kV Substation and its Parkes 132/66 kV Substation, in central New South Wales.
The transmission line is approximately 81 kilometres in route length and will involve the erection of approximately 375 pole structures.
The general area in which the work is located is shown on URS Figure 1.1 Locality Map and URS Figure 2.6 Transmission Line Alignment, included in Part 3 – Tender Drawings.
The works under the Contract includes, but is not specifically limited to:
· clearing of the route
· supply and erection of gates
· construction of access tracks
· application of erosion control and other environmental safeguards
· the supply and erection of concrete or steel pole structures, including foundations
· fabrication, supply and installation of pole earthing arrangements
· the supply and stringing of conductors and overhead earthwire and fittings
· the supply and installation of material for the earthing of fences and gates.
· the supply of all other material except insulators
The design responsibilities for poles, foundations and fittings are specified in Section 1.4 – Design, Testing, Fabrication, Supply and Delivery of Pole Structures.

UPDATED A compulsory tender briefing for the project will be held on Monday 20th July 2009 commencing at 10:30am at the Principal’s Sydney West Office in Wallgrove. All parties interested in attending the briefing should notify their attendance by contacting the Project Manager, Mr Phil Brasher on (02) 8204 6369 no later than Thursday 16th July 2009.
Approval and arrangements for access to the Site during the tender period can also be made by contacting Mr Phil Brasher. However, the Principal makes no commitment for access for site inspection to any specific private property within the tender period. No entry to any private property shall be made until approval for such access has been obtained from the Principal.
