This specification covers the testing of insulating oil used in high voltage electrical equipment associated with the New South Wales High Voltage Transmission Grid located within the Southern Region (Yass & Wagga districts), as and when required for a two year period from the date of issue of the Principal?s purchase order. Oil testing includes dissolved gas analysis; moisture content; interfacial tension; electrical breakdown strength; dielectric dissipation factor; polychlorinated biphenyl content; furans and degree of polymerisation. The testing forms part of the diagnostic testing and condition-monitoring program used to maintain the high voltage equipment.
