TransGrid / Civil & Electrical Works for Switchbays at Sydney North - 1247

To meet the growing demand for energy in the Galston and Dural areas, Energy Australia is constructing a new Galston 132/11kV Zone Substation.

The 132kV Galston Substation will be supplied by connections to two new 132kV switchbays to be established at the existing in service Sydney North 330/132kV Substation. The construction of these two 132kV switchbays is generally the subject of the work under this Contract.

A Mandatory Site Inspection for Contract 1247 will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday 14th October, 2008, meeting at TransGrids Sydney North substation.

Tenderers shall be suitably dressed for this inspection (i.e. long sleeve shirts, trousers/slacks, enclosed footwear, safety helmets and high visibility shirts or vests) and that personnel wearing leisure clothing (e.g. beachwear, thongs, open footwear, singlets etc.) will not be permitted to participate in the substation switchyard portion of the inspection.
