Tender Details

Removal & Disposal of the Beaconsfield West Substation No. 2 132 kV Reactor and Associated Works.

This Specification covers the removal and disposal of the Beaconsfield West No.2 330kV Shunt Reactor. The current bunding is to remain in-place for the duration of the works. On removal of the reactor, the bund is to be modified to accommodate the new cooler bank pipe and bund testing is to be carried out. The Contractor is also required to clean & repair existing No.1, No.2 Transformer & No.1 Shunt Reactor Bunds.

POSSESSION OF SITE
Possession of site will be granted within two (2) weeks of issue of Purchase Order.

TIME FOR PRACTICAL COMPLETION
It is required that all works except those described in Specification Clause 12.2 (c) (Re-installation of Sprinkler System) shall be completed within 4 weeks of being granted Possession of Site. The Contractor shall leave site following the completion of all works except those described in Specification Clause 12.2 (c) (Re-installation of Sprinkler System). The Contractor shall return to site after the replacement reactor has been installed by the Principal, to complete the outstanding works. It is anticipated that the site will be made available for outstanding work required by Clause 12.2 (c) in 8 December 2008. Practical Completion shall occur with 2 weeks of the date returning to site.

Additional Details / Instructions

Site Inspection

All Tenderers must make a site inspection of the site prior to closing of Tenders to fully acquaint themselves with matters and conditions affecting the work. This site inspection will occur at 10am 16th September 2008.

It should be noted that the site inspection is a mandatory requirement for Tenders to be considered.

All attending parties should advise Tan Hua, Project Officer on 02 9620 0648 of their intention of attending the above inspection.
