Tender Details
This specification requires the following work on each phase of No 1 Transformer at Sydney East Substation:
" Disconnection and reconnection of each phase of Transformer 330kV, 132kV, 11kV and 415 V connections
" Removal and disposal of the PCB contaminated oil from each single phase transformer.
" Total permanent in-situ repair / sealing of the tank lid gasket by welding of lid and sealing of bolts.
" Replacement of ALL gaskets on the Transformers, Coolers, Conservators, connecting pipes, accessories and diverter switch etc.
" Replacement / Repair of corroded steel parts and studs / pipes of the transformers Coolers and conservators connecting pipes and accessories.
" Repair of corroded sections on 330 kV bushing flanges.
" Refurbishment of oil pumps.
" Refurbishment of radiators
" Replace of diverter switch seals
" Dry out of transformer winding insulation
" Vacuum oil filling of each phase of the transformer, with new oil supplied by the Principal to site.
" Painting of all three single transformers
" Supply and Installation of Safety Platforms and hand rails in accordance with supplied information and sample drawings
" Complete replacement of six (6) fire door entries including fire certification.
" Modify 132 kV bushing connection to prevent expected bushing connection discharge damage.

A mandatory site inspection will be held at Sydney East 330 kV Substation (Wyatt Ave, Belrose NSW, 2085) on January 19, 2007 commencing at 10.00 am. Persons attending this inspection MUST register with the Technical Contact - Mr Albert Maldonado on 02 9620 0674.
All personnel attending the site inspection must wear long sleeve shirts, trousers, safety helmets, enclosed footwear and high visibility shirts or vests when entering switchyards, repeater stations, along transmission line sites or in any other area where a safety helmet is required.
