The construction of 15.0 kms of double circuit 132 kV pole transmission line between Tamworth and a point west of Tamworth. The work includes the necessary clearing, the construction of access tracks, the improvement of existing access tracks, the installation of gates, the installation of working benches, erosion control and the restoration of the site on completion.
The supply and delivery of new double circuit single pole suspension structures and two pole flying and tension 132 kV pole structures. The supply and installation of foundations, guys, structure earthing along with the supply, erection and tensioning of conductor, earthwire, OPGW and the erection of associated hardware and insulators.
The work involves the dismantling of the exiting redundant transmission line, which involves the dismantling of all redundant pole structures, foundations, guys, conductors, earthwires, hardware fittings and insulators, along with the restoration of the area around the redundant structure sites and the Site in general.

Site Inspection
A mandatory site inspection of the Tamworth Gunnedah 132 kV transmission line work will be held on Tuesday 2nd December 2008 and will commence at 10.30am at Tamworth Substation located in Burgmanns lane, Calala 2340.
The meeting will proceed along the length of the transmission line route finishing at the New Winton Road at crossover point with 875 66kV line at approximately 2:30pm.

Estimated Timeframe for Delivery
Practical completion is required within150 days of Possession of Site it is anticipated that Practical Completion by approximately early November 2009.
