The provision of field devices based on current tablet PC technology to act as a platform for the Principal’s Mains and Easement Management System (MEMS) solution. The following limitations apply:
- The field devices shall be commercial off the shelf (COTS);
- Be able to operate either Microsoft XP Professional (Tablet PC Edition) or Microsoft VISTA Business;
- Have a screen that can be viewed effectively in direct sunlight; and
- Incorporate a level of robustness sufficient for “in vehicle“ field use.
