Access tracks are constructed for access to the Principal’s transmission line infrastructure and radio repeater sites.
The reconstruction and repair of access tracks are conducted to ensure that access is maintained to a standard suitable for use in all weather conditions by four wheeled drive maintenance vehicles.
This specification covers the Principal’s Southern Region, which encompasses two Areas – Yass Area and Wagga Area.
In most cases the work involves the reconstruction and repair of the damaged sections of an access track to an acceptable standard for transmission line maintenance and operation. The access tracks are generally unsealed, four wheeled drive tracks.
