Control Room Upgrade at Metropolitan Regional Centre Wallgrove.
The Works include, but are not limited to:
- Partial demolition of existing Control Room fitout and removal of debris.
- Refurbishment of the Control Room, including new ceiling, new partitions, modifications to raised floor, new openings, new fixed furniture and some loose furniture.
- Provision of and/or augmentation of services associated with the new works such as electrical, hydraulic, fire services, security and communication services.
- Temporary works in connection with the above.
- Commissioning and provision of ‘As-Constructed’ documentation
Note that space outside and adjacent to Control Room will be occupied during the works. Contractor is to provide systems to maintain the safe and secure occupancy of all adjacent buildings during the works.
It is envisaged that the works will be carried out in the following general sequence:
- Site establishment, temporary services, dust control, dilapidation survey, etc.
- Relocation of existing furniture to be retained.
- Services shutdown and/or decommissioning, as appropriate
- Demolition and removal of rubbish
- Services alterations
- Construction of new partitions, doors and ceilings
- Painting and carpets
- Installation of new desking and commissioning of services
Tenderers shall attend a mandatory inspection of the Site to fully acquaint themselves with the Site and the Works required.
A Site inspection for tenderers has been arranged on the site at 9.30am 12 March 2009, meeting at reception. Tenderers are required to register their attendance by phone or email to Michael Rowe on the details below, by 2pm 11/3/09.
It is the responsibility of the Tenderer to fully establish during site inspection and during tender period the extent and detail of the Works under the Contract.
