The Mid North Coast Local Health District was created on the 1 July 2011 by the Health Services Amendment (Local Health Districts and Boards) Act 2011.

The MNCLHD extends from Port Macquarie to Coffs Harbour and encompasses the coastal strip of NSW colloquially known as the Mid North Coast.

The Coffs Clinical Network comprises of four(4) Health Campus’ located in Coffs Harbour, Macksville, Bellingen and Dorrigo. The main referral hospital for this Network is the Coffs Harbour Base Hospital, which is located at 345 Pacific Highway, Coffs Harbour and provides emergency, critical care medicine, surgery, vascular, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, mental health, rehabilitation and a range of clinical support services.

The Medical Imaging Department at Coffs Harbour Health Campus (CHHC) currently provides a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures. The service employs Staff Specialist Visiting Medical Officer Radiologists on-site. Historical service requests total 11229 (1 May 22 – 30 April 23) the break down consists of CT (7026 requests), General X-Ray (643 Requests), MRI (1738 Requests) and Ultrasound (1822 Requests).
