Council invites tenders from experienced contractors to carry out bitumen sealing of roads within Blacktown City Council area. This is a schedule of rates contract subject to rise & fall in costs.
The work under this contract comprises the supply of all materials, plant and labour necessary for the complete and proper construction of the road sealing works. The scope of work shall include, but not to be limited to, the following: a. Sweeping and cleaning of all surfaces prior to sealing, including disposal of spoil. b. The supply, preparation and application of all materials in accordance with the technical requirements for each type of seal. c. The rolling of all areas included in the works after each application of aggregate. d. The provision of traffic control in accordance with the approved traffic control plan during sealing operations. e. Following the sealing works, sweeping and removal of any excess material from the surface, including disposal. The Contractor will be issued a list of roads and or road sections to be surfaced. The Contractor and Superintendent will measure and confirm the area of each road or road section to be sealed prior to commencing work.

Tenderers may, if they wish, collect a hardcopy of this tender from the front counter of Blacktown City Council Civic Centre, 62 Flushcombe Road Blacktown between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. A non-refundable document fee of $137.00 (incl GST) will be charged.
