Tender Details

The scope of work in this contract is to replace, over a predetermined time period, the North Wing air conditioning system with a more environmentally sustainable system. The work will necessitate progressive removal of the existing water cooled packaged units, condenser water pipe work, electrical and control wiring and the North Wing heating water boiler and pump.

The new air conditioning systems will entail the installation of the North Wing heating water boiler and pump during summer of 2009 then one adiabatic air cooled chiller during winter of 2010, with provision for two chillers to supply the South and East Wings at some time in the future.

The chilled water is to be reticulated to each on-floor plant room. Seven new chilled water air handling units for the north wing are to be provided and connected to the existing in ceiling reticulated ductwork systems.

A new building management system (BMS) is to be installed to control and monitor the new air conditioning system with provision made to extend this to serve the South and East Wings.
